D King’S X Xv Inot 239690 693723969022 17/12.29 _____ Rock
As a music consumer you’ve got to be extremely cautious with a term such as ‘cult band’. It is often used to describe acts who are commercially
unsuccessful or by groups trying to disguise their musical inabilities. With all due respect, this is certainly not the case with King’s X. Doug Pinnick (vocals,
bass), Jerry Gaskill (drums) and Ty Tabor (guitars) are consummate professionals who enjoy a brilliant reputation amongst fans, media and their peers.
King’s X’s status as a ‘cult band’ stems from their long time significance on the international rock scene as an all encompassing, fresh and innovative band.
Their brand new album XV again proves to be a classic example of intelligent, varied and imaginative rock, on which they combine flawless skills, great
compositions and superb production.
I Kisschasy Too B Or Not Too B Virgin 1357644 5099921681820 37/21.79 _____ Rock
2008 two disc (CD + PAL/Region 0 DVD) compilation release from the Australian band containing their two early EPs, B-sides and previously unreleased
tracks plus all of their videos to date. Old school fans were requesting to hear the songs from the early EP’s every time the band toured, so it seemed fitting
to compile both of these EP’s and release them on one disc. What came next was the fact that the B-Sides from the singles from their debut album, United
Paper People, have also been deleted - so it was decided that these B-Sides would also be part of this collection titled, Too B Or Not Too B. Still not feeling
complete, the band decided to add three previously unreleased tracks to the compilation to give the fans a package that every Kisschasy fan would want
to own. Virgin.

D Mates Of State Re-Arrange Us Bars 31074 655173107423 13/9.99 _____ Rock
Though conceived as a duo, Mates of State have never failed to generate a trademark wall of sound built on dozens of varied voicings of keys, drums, and
alternately lushly-layered and playfully-dueling vocals. On re-arrange us they move beyond these boundaries (their traditional organ sound is a distant
memory, replaced with organic piano and synth sounds) with additional instrumentation, not to mention a quantum leap in songcraft apparent on instantly
indelible gems like now, jigsaw and get better. Throughout re-arrange us, Kori’s piano and the emergence of both Mates’ lead vocals from their trademark
harmonizing signal the next stage of Mates of State’s evolution.
