together to self-produce an amazing riposte to those who thought the band may be finished. The result, Different Like You is, quite simply, the best album
the band has ever made; a veritable platter-full of killer tunes packed into a 35 minute wallop, the band playing with the conviction of a Rock ‘N’ Roll group

North American only release. The 2008 album, Venus in Overdrive was recorded in 32 days by Rick Springfield and Matt Bissonette, his long time bass
player. According to Rick, “it is an album about love in all its forms, and since Venus is the goddess of love, it’s called Venus in Overdrive. There is a lot of
personal stuff in these songs but we have tried to craft them so they still have a universal voice. We are older, yet still teenagers, we have lost people we
love and still love the people who are on our journey with us.” The first single is “What’s Victoria’s Secret?” Rick says the title of the song “is one of those
titles that was waiting to be written and we just got there first. Matt came up with it and we wrote the song while we were doing five nights of shows in

one major hit in the U.S., their recorded output is more exciting than many of the other Liverpool bands of the ’60s. In October 1961, Bob Wooler, the DJ at
the Cavern club in Liverpool, compiled a list of the most popular rock groups on Merseyside. The Beatles were at #1, but the Swinging Blue Jeans were
omitted from his ratings. Another time, he referred to them as the Swinging Blue Geniuses. Initially a Skiffle group, the SBJ’s transformed themselves into
a wild and wooly Rock ‘N’ Roll outfit overnight and wowed the UK and Europe for years to come. This collection of their EMI recordings, 1963-69, features
